How do I book a session?
The best way to reach us is via email: info@mamareiki.com. Let us know what days & time frames (morning/afternoon/evening) work for you and we'll get back to you as soon as possible with our next available appointments. You are always welcome to give us a call too. We just might not be available to answer the phone if we are with a client or in a session.
Do you have a cancellation list?
Yes! Let us know if you'd like to come in sooner and we'll add you to the list.
I'd love to book a session but I don't live in Los Angeles. Do you offer distance sessions?
Absolutely. Email us at info@mamareiki.com and we can coordinate a session for you.
PAYMENTS
What forms of payment do you accept?
Mama Reiki accepts cash, all major credit cards, gift cards and Venmo.
CANCELLATION, LATE & NO SHOW POLICY
What is your cancellation policy?
We respectfully request at least 24 hours notice if a client cannot join us for their scheduled appointment. Otherwise, we charge 100% of the service cost to the credit card on file to compensate our staff for missed wages. We do not provide refunds for cancelled appointments outside of that time frame or no show appointments.
What happens if I'm running late to my appointment?
We understand sometimes life happens and you might be running late. Please let us know as soon as possible in the event you're running late. We will do our best to accommodate and give you a full session, but this may not always be possible. Your service may be shortened to avoid delays for clients coming in after your designated time slot. Appointments missed by 15 minutes or more are cancelled and the credit card on file will be charged for the full amount.

How can I facilitate the healing process after my session?
How many sessions do I need?
You can experience a major shift after just a single session. And sometimes you feel you need to come in for a series of sessions if you're dealing with chronic pain, inflammation or a longstanding mental, emotional or spiritual issue that's been difficult to heal. In our experience, most of our clients feel best after 3-4 sessions. That being said, how often and how many sessions you need truly depends on the individual. Some clients come in once a week, some clients come in once a month, some come once a year, some as needed. You will know intuitively when you need another session. Give yourself a few days after your first session to reflect on how you feel, process any insights that come up and be gentle with yourself as you allow your body to detox and align.
Is it normal to get emotional after a reiki session?
It's not uncommon for emotions to surface when you're doing energy work. Clients can experience a range of emotions and it's totally natural and healthy as energy is being released. Better out than in. Trapped emotions in the body can create energy blockages and lead to illness and imbalance.
Can we stay in touch after my session?

How do I prepare for my session?
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment to check in, fill out new client paperwork, breathe, and use the restroom if you need to before the session begins.
- Abstain from alcohol before and after your session as it interferes with energy healing.
- Have something to eat and drink so you're hydrated and comfortable. Avoid eating heavy foods before your session so your body can direct energy towards healing.
- Dress in comfortable clothes. You will be laying down fully clothed during the session.
- Bring socks as your feet may get cold since shoes are removed during the session.
- Remove jewelry and watches or leave these items at home. Metal articles sometimes disrupt the flow of energy.
- It's not necessary, but if you'd like to write down a list of intentions you want to set or anything you'd like to share before we begin, it may be helpful.
- Come with an open mind and heart.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
How can I facilitate the healing process after my session?
- Stay hydrated. After any kind of energy work, it's important to drink plenty of water to assist in the detoxification process.
- Eat something nourishing. Often times clients get very hungry immediately after doing energy work, so it might be a good idea to bring a healthy snack with you in case you have a long drive home. Check in with your body and see what it needs. Avoid foods like junk food, sugary/salty or deep fried foods that are not good for you as you're in the midst of detoxing, so it's best to avoid putting any toxins in your system. If you feel you need to ground your energy, try eating root vegetables like potatoes or sweet potatoes.
- Take some alone time to integrate everything. Meditate, go for a walk in nature, journal or take a bath in sea salt or Epsom salt.
- Get some good rest. It's best not to plan activities after your reiki session. Take it easy, relax and sleep early if you can. It will refresh you and help your body continue clearing your energy.
- Observe any shifts in energy, mood, thoughts or reactions in the days to come. Write down any insights or experiences that you'd like to keep track of and share with us before your next session.
